I’m more a chatter-with & connector-of people than a poster. I’ll remember years later that you once said you like pancakes & tag you in a recipe I just found.

Banner - a flopsed rabbit called Chive.
Avatar - me in a Giant Chair in Danish Design Museum.
It’s VERY tough out there at the moment. Grim.

Doubly grim with a pet! Who could resist this face? Landlords, that’s who!

Poolbeg chimneys swathed in a smoke plume not of their own making.

From 2021, still relevant…

Worth going back to OP and then into branching comments :D

My daughter’s fella is going as The Walkinstown Roundabout (a very local reference, but those that know understand the terror).

I’ve always thought, if pushed for a last-minute, low-effort costume, I’d go as DJ Carey.

WANT! Great T-shirt. Identifiable sentiment, and thanks for injecting a bit of humour into my Monday. Hopefully, you haven’t seen this before and I’m returning the favour.

It is unphotographable, but when did that ever stop me from trying? Just the Sam Beckett and opposite direction, not the full inner sphere of clear and calm, blue and sunlit, grey and broody, troubled and even snow-predicting…

Unseasonal, but somehow appropriate for the day that was in it.

Maybe see a lot of you there, actually -

It’s a beautiful day in the neighbourhood!

To be fair, you can see why the Beckett is one of the most instagrammed bridges, I rarely see it looking dull, or even the same as before.

A pal got this sticker at Belfast Pride. I’d like to buy a few of them. I can’t find a shop on the Belfast Pride site. Does anyone know who made these stickers and/or anywhere I might be able to make a purchase?

I wanted to get this from further back, with the derelict City Arts Centre to the right, but there is too much street furniture, poles, signs, lights. Maybe better to make this a hopeful than a depressing pic!

I decided to bring the big umbrella today, which means it’s unlikely to rain as much as originally forecast

My OH is excellent at finding ‘traditional’ wedding anniversary gifts. 24 years today, so a little opal cat was waiting for me in the spot I normally have breakfast. I love opal but knew there was some bad feeling about it, so I looked it up and was reminded of the power of popular fiction.

TWAW ❤️

But also and separately; are they sexist as well as transphobic? Do they think men can’t be nurses? Do they think there are jobs only women or only men can do? Should we return to the 1970s or 60s or 50s? How far back would they like society to regress? Should I quit work outside the home?

Interesting that IT & Examiner have same publisher, but Examiner took a different angle. I recently pitched a story to IT and was told they’d already covered a different aspect of it in the Examiner so wouldn’t cover it again, so they seem to run them both as one “interest”.

Me wearing Liffey Bridges as a dress (I will get a proper pic to you at some point!!!)

I can loan you a compilation if you feel you’re missing out. You can see how it fed so many later stereotypes. Though as you’ve already observed its intertextual place, you probably have enough of the measure of it - it’s not going to get any more relevant!

Explaining to Chive that if she flopses now, she’ll fall off the couch.
