It is unphotographable, but when did that ever stop me from trying? Just the Sam Beckett and opposite direction, not the full inner sphere of clear and calm, blue and sunlit, grey and broody, troubled and even snow-predicting…

I wanted to get this from further back, with the derelict City Arts Centre to the right, but there is too much street furniture, poles, signs, lights. Maybe better to make this a hopeful than a depressing pic!

My OH is excellent at finding ‘traditional’ wedding anniversary gifts. 24 years today, so a little opal cat was waiting for me in the spot I normally have breakfast. I love opal but knew there was some bad feeling about it, so I looked it up and was reminded of the power of popular fiction.

But also and separately; are they sexist as well as transphobic? Do they think men can’t be nurses? Do they think there are jobs only women or only men can do? Should we return to the 1970s or 60s or 50s? How far back would they like society to regress? Should I quit work outside the home?

Interesting that IT & Examiner have same publisher, but Examiner took a different angle. I recently pitched a story to IT and was told they’d already covered a different aspect of it in the Examiner so wouldn’t cover it again, so they seem to run them both as one “interest”.
