The last one has a white tick over it). 2 in 5 ace respondents (41.8%) never engage in sexual activity, 13.2% do it "1-2 times", 10.1% do it "3-5 times", 9.5% do it "6-10 times", 11.7% do it "11-25 times", 7.6% do it "26-50 times" and 6.2% do it "at least 50 times" Across all asexual, demisexual, graysexual, and questioning subgroups, the percentage of respondents who had not had any consensual sexual encounters in the previous year ranges from 32.0% for demisexual to 45.6% for asexual respondents. Less variation is seen in the percentage of respondents who had consensual sexual activities once or twice in the previous year, ranging from 11.5% for demisexual to 16.0% for questioning respondents. In general, across all subgroups there is a decrease in the percentages as the frequency increases. For example, among asexual respondents, 13.0% indicated they had engaged in consensual sex “1-2 times,” but only 5.3% reported engaging “at least 50 times.” A notable exception is seen in demisexual respondents’ answers, in which the variation is more limited, from 11.5% for “1-2 times” to 9.2% for “at least 50 times,” peaking at 16.0% who selected “11- 25 times.”

The Schwules Museum closes an exhibition about Emma Trosse who published groundbreaking work on female homosexuality, asexuality and making the case for LGBTQIA+ equality in the 1890s. Her work should be better known but it was censored and banned.

A fun thing about being aromantic is the monthly thing where someone interrogates you about it because they assume you’re lying or broken in some way they can fix.

Two years ago, I was fifteen, fat, a nerd, still figuring out what being half-Mexican even meant, and approximately ninety-nine percent committed to letting life happen to me instead of the other way around. I had no plan. No clue. No spine, if I'm being honest. Then my mom inherited a house in Pine Hill—population 2,000-something, number of pizza-delivery places: zero, worst town in California. Everything I thought I knew about the world—about what was real, what was possible, what was safe—went up in smoke. Or got buried in that field. Same difference, really. Turns out figuring out REDACTED doesn't mean the nightmare's over. It just means you get to carry it home with you and watch the ghosts multiply. But, you know, maybe it’s not all bad. Like, maybe the school bully getting possessed by someone actually nice could be a good thing? Sophomore year I was fifteen, still figuring out how to exist in my own skin, and already infamous. Who knew REDACTED wouldn’t be a great way to start at a new school? When you’re “that girl from the murder house,” people notice you. Whether you want them to or not. I also learned some other things that year. Like how kissing—despite what every book, movie, and song promises—is gross. Like… really gross. Just don’t do it.
