Being a person with autism has not been easy but the reason it hasn't been easy- is because non-autistic people are not taught how to interact with autistic people. Autistic people are expected to socially mask & neurotypicals generally don't have even a base idea of how autistic people communicate.

Why does America view autism as a disability? It is my superpower! I may get social fatigue quickly, and visibly bristle at new interactions, lights & noise, but I am task motivated, detail focused adult that makes me a valuable addition to my work colleagues, who embrace & encourage my quirks

That Kamala interview was heart breaking because it's one of the few times that I've ever seen a national political figure say the system is broken and that trying to work within it to change things probably wont work.
