If you're buying gifts for the holidays, maybe consider supporting artists, writers, creators. Gift someone a Patreon, commission an art piece, buy a book, purchase handmade jewelry, etc. Your support means everything.

i think if you want to have those disgusting LED headlights on your car, you should have to do a test where they blast you point blank with your own headlights and then you have 15 seconds to successfully complete some sort of vision-based task, and if you can't do it they push your car off a cliff

This photo of leaves in the NE 7th Avenue bike lane sent to me just now by a reader is bonkers. It's a perfect illustration of why the common practice of workers blowing leaves from sidewalks (and yards) into bike lanes is totally uncool and unsafe.

No easy solution to this issue!

It's a great cosmic joke that neurodivergence both runs in families and gets diagnosed based on parent reports. I was diagnosed at 30 because a man who has eaten potatoes every day for 57 years and a woman who collects loose buttons decided I was a perfectly normal child.

If no one in your timeline is grieving the loss of Alice Wong today then you’re not hearing from enough disabled people or even people who listen to disabled people.

That’s a massive segment of society to which you will likely belong some day. Might want to turn an ear toward them sooner than later
