i’m excited to watch this - i was thinking about it watching @izball.bsky.social’s film d(e)ad at @musicboxtheatre.bsky.social. it was generally more enjoyable to watch a movie that looked *real*. there’s been so many films in the theater lately where i think i like it but its not …. fun to view?
This video puts to words some of the feelings I've had about modern movies/cgi/digital film but haven't been able to enunciate, but moreover nails a problem in modern art making: the lack of real, tactile experiences reflected in the work youtu.be/tvwPKBXEOKE?...
Why Movies Just Don't Feel "Real" Anymore

Its 11/11 today, which marks the start of Karneval, especially relevant in places like Köln.

Which means Köln players showed up to practice in costume, with Ragnar Ache dressing up as Obito and Lund dressing up like budget cut Captain America

Under $100 and supports a small business ✨🫶🏻
everything is bonkers right now and we need a timeline cleanse. let’s play a game. if I handed you a blank check but you could ONLY spend it on an Advent calendar, what absurdly pricy collection of little treats are you buying yourself?

Never has there been a case of more "good fucking riddance," but it's not unamusing that they're hightailing it right after the first snow storm hit. Chicago has a built-in defense against unserious jagoffs and it's called winter.

John Elkann says Ferrari "needs drivers who think less about themselves and more about the team."

If that's really what he believes, then maybe Ferrari should stop signing world champions and start advancing more drivers through their own ranks to the main team.

pre-writing a devastating obituary for your enemy is god-tier hating of a kind you don’t often see anymore. renaissance haterism. beautiful stuff.
A Sharon Begley byline, almost 5 years after her death.

Upon hearing the news James Watson had died, a STAT reporter said in our Slack, "I wish I could read what Sharon would have written."

Incredible news: Sharon in fact did pre-write a Watson obit. And it is masterful and excoriating.
