as a sperm donor baby this is my position!! even if i didn’t develop a genetic autoimmune disease it feels crazy when your father is a sheet of paper with anonymized demographic info you saw once. or the doctor. you never know that it’s not the doctor

my hot take is that I don't think it's this website specifically that's toxic. the Circumstances are toxic and nobody really knows what to do about it so they come online and scream. and if I may offer an alternative: actually going outside and screaming feels better.

it’s my late cousins birthday who turned 21 as i was being born. she was a korean adoptee in minnesota, she married a german man & they lived in switzerland. she died of brain cancer the day i graduated college. there’s so much i wish i could have talked to her about.

On that last post: I genuinely cannot think of any good-faith reason to bar international adoptions from those 39 countries. Under this new ban, consulates will refuse adoption visas for any baby from Cuba, Haiti, Venezuela, Nigeria, or any of the 39 other countries.
