Last night I beat Hades II. 🥹

The credits roll was so beautiful. It's the kind of image that I would stand in front of the TV for as a child. Mouth agape. Like, wow, people made this with so much heart I can feel. I hope Supergiant wins all the things. They earned it.

Post-credits missions await!

Agreed. Only thing worse than "Reminds me of x" is, "Can you draw me?" Like... It just never occurs to folks how self-centered (and common) that ask is.

A woman once asked me this even though she was 2 stops away on the train. 😑

They're never content with the results either. No, absolutely not.
Fully half of the comments I get on my art when I post it these days is some fucking version of "this reminds me of/this looks like" some unrelated character

Kindly fucking stop saying the first shit that comes to mind please. Stop it, it's insulting. Say anything else

Have you ever paid for an in-game Pokémon with real-world money? Have you sold one for cash? Whether that be on places like eBay, or just within fan communities, or as a kid on the playground? Wanna talk about it for a Kotaku story? Hit me up here or at kshepard@kotaku.com! RTs appreciated.

Jokes aside, it's truly remarkable how well the pixel art in this game holds up. It's absolutely GORGEOUS to this day.

I submitted an entire application while listening to the very specific tech lab white noise in the Dispatch startup screen. I think I need more of this.

I love when people share something they love and get so passionate and excited when they see you learning to love it too. 🥰 It's so infectious.

He showed me a song from Soul Eater and I was immediately like THAT'S NINE INCH NAILS.

Of course there's a Reddit post from a year ago. 😂

The studio that made the shitty coca-cola AI ad getting their teeth kicked in on socials bc of how icky bad it is, then the studio CEO coming out insulting and dismissing folks kicking their teeth in, and THEN releasing the worst ever cover up “hey we actually made this by hand” scam vid

"All pookleblinky know is ... write unsettling threads"

I'LL SAY
Audio engineers at AT&T discovered back in the 1960's that they could encode metrics about a network as a stream of sampled human voices, on a similar principle to Chernoff graphs.

Pitch, emotion, phoneme, volume, timbre, etc could all be mapped to different metrics tracked.

Time feels like it's at a standstill. It is as oppressive as ever. Like standing at the precipice of a cliff that leads up, before being able to peer over its edge.

Life feels like I live in Salvador Dalí's "The Persistence of Memory" (1931).

Mhm. This is true of every ism and prejudice there is.

It's tragic because the ability to confront your own ugly liberates not just the people you've hurt, but yourself.

You have to want it and it's painful. But it's worth it.
A lot of men fear acknowledging what actually counts as sexual harassment because doing so would mean confronting their own behavior.
Everyday men are sexually harassing women and calling it everything but.

If we REALLY did a survey of what they consider NOT to be sexual harassment…..we’d be very shocked.

This nice Italian woman (about ~80) on Amtrak had me pegged for "25 at most" despite being a bit heavier. 🥹 Even after I corrected her, she did not stop gassing me up. 🤣

"It’s not clear exactly what may be driving the apparent improvements in obesity."

They cite weight loss (diabetes) drugs but... times have been really hard. I would be surprised if people weren't cutting back on food in this economy.
For the first time in more than a decade, the number of states with rates of obesity of 35% or more has dropped.

But cuts to federal staff and programs that address chronic disease could endanger that progress, according to a new report released Thursday. https://to.pbs.org/46XkPow
