I aspire to be a homeowner that has an onimous dark wood desk in a library-come-office, the kind that nieces/nephews etc are warned of going near cause of all the important things that might be contained in locked drawers. There'll be nothing but old fountain pens in it but they dont know that.

Libraries are so cute. Please get the Libby and Hoopla app on your phone and the Kanopy app for your TV. It makes the libraries so happy and you can access books, movies, magazines, audiobooks, tv shows, and joy. YOU GET FREE JOY

I have started tracking macros again, and am now thinking like “Okay, you have 1500 dollars / calories to spend, let’s make it count.” I care more about wasting money on stuff I don’t need so this works for me; why waste calories on food I don’t appreciate?

Also: If you don't have money to buy my (or anyone's) books, and you live in the anglosphere, before you pirate them, try to get them from your local library instead. They have it or can get it, they pay for the books, and in many places writers get paid for their books being lent. Everyone wins!

I'm working up a new book on taxonomies, ontologies, and knowledge graphs (Ontology, a Layperson's Guide to Language), and already having fun with it. Expect it early 2025.
