We don’t have the infrastructure for people who rent. Is my landlord going to install the necessary equipment for an EV? EVs are nice for people who can plug in the car in their garage, but not for people who have to park in the street or buildings that aren’t equipped for it.

All the anti-war and anti-occupation protestors were right. All the far leftists were right. All the “woke scolds” and your friend who’s “too woke” were right. They were somehow even more right than they may have realized at the time. But really, it was always obvious they were right.

🧵Canadian friends: if you want to vote for the next leader of the NDP, you have *just one week left* to buy a (cheap) party membership.

After that, there will be a big English debate and lots of media coverage, but it will be too late to have a say.

Only members can vote for leader.

We can't build power by only asking for votes at election time. We need to be organizing in our communities 365 days a year.

That means turning every one of our 343 riding associations across the country into hubs for community organizing and mutual aid.

Colombian oil worker unions are at the forefront of this strategy.

The US has attacked a country, kidnapped its head of state, and is seizing its oil. Trump has invoked the Monroe Doctrine.

This is a moment for Canada to stand up: condemn this act of imperialism. Reject impunity and the politics of brute force.

As more and more stores go union the companies shortsightedness will become glaring and indefensible.

A high speed train between YYC and YEG airports would reduce travel time and load on the QE2. Imagine, going from city to city in 60 minutes, including a 15 minute stop in Red Deer.

Likely a $10.5 billion project (less than 20% of a pipeline) and it would be an amazing benefit to the economy. Alas.
