Sappho went to the Frick (and seen the Islands of Man)

It is falling dusk, and the scene is colored in a dimming purple, sunsetting haze. The angelic figure is a trans man with long red hair and top scars bearing a torn out heart and a halo of guts. He floats by a living bronze statue of another angel mounted ontop of the fountain with hands clasped in prayer. From behind a column closer to us, a mysterious trans woman with one glowing eye dressed in a modern dress and cardigan and a moon halo over her head observes us while holding onto a crystal cane. In the middle, under the promenade of collapsing marble, a group of three woman look out at the angel - one seated who I imagine like the poet Sappho, her attendant raising an ornate fan, and another modernly dressed trans woman with devil horns. At the right, one woman walks away carrying a bloodied bag dripping over her dress, while at the furthest wall to the right sits a woman playing a Bull-Head Lyre such as one found from the Royal Tombs of Ur in modern day Iraq. These two woman are also dressed in regal Mesopotamian garb. There is no indication outside of the columns and doors of the courtyard of where we are, or what time or space this is. Standing on ground level, we are simply among women.
