Don't get me wrong, batteries are generally a good thing to compliment solar, and housebuilders do commonly include them anyway, because buyers value them. It's just that there have never been any proposals to mandate them on all new homes.

I visited Spain & Portugal while I was studying in France, 3 yrs after they’d joined. I was surprised to see donkeys on the streets! I next went in 2000 - the change was incredible. I’ve now witnessed the same phenomenon in Poland. Anyone denying the benefits of EU membership is either mad or bad.
