Embarrassing performance on the national stage.

This is a typical Pitt clunker on the national stage. Just simply not good enough.

But at least they have cool uniforms.

It would be charming to see Indiana and UVA be good at football if they weren’t simply outspending almost everyone in the NIL. Both are among the top-15 NIL spenders this season, and spent more than Oregon, even.

NEW: No, Charlie Kirk was not practicing politics the right way. That's what Ezra Klein said. We can condemn this heinous assassination but also recognize that with his 2020 election denialism and extremist rhetoric, Kirk built his movement with falsehoods and in a wrong and divisive manner.

His assassination deserves full condemnation; his full impact should not be sidestepped.

Cinderella doesn’t win national championships. UNLV was the last small-budget program to win a national title, and that was 35 years ago. It’s been blue bloods ever since.

Given the current landscape of college athletics, U of Houston is a massive underdog in this Final Four. They have the smallest athletic budget of all programs in the Power 4 conferences. It’s a university very comparable to Temple University in Philadelphia.

This upset of Duke is historic.

I got laid off today, with the rest of 18F.

18F was an elite federal software shop. We made gov't websites work better, more efficiently for the American people. We saved taxpayers from getting screwed over by contractors. And were fired for it.

We made this website to tell our story:

I completely missed that Republicans introduced a bill to increase the endowment tax from 1.4% to 21%. If passed, Harvard would go from paying ~$35m to $525m/yr in federal taxes (that’s 8.2% of its current operating expenses)

This comment on r/fednews really stood out to me. Trump and Musk want people to think they're firing do-nothing "bureaucrats," but they're really getting rid of people dedicated to serving this country and keeping it operational. I hope these stories get told.
