What little credibility Australia's centre-left Labor government had on climate change policies after their previous term in office has been utterly trashed by this decision.
They are a climate Nero, fiddling while Australia burns/floods/dries.
This is devastating news.

In his first major decision, Environment Minister Murray Watt has extended the life of Australia's largest oil & gas project until 2070.

Tuvalu's Climate Minister Maina Talia said the extension "would threaten our survival".
