Be warned this strip is outdated, stylistically

Charles Schultz didn't go to art school because he was too scared, and then he got so successful he became one of the only cartoonists who's name normal people know. That's inspiring man! You don't need thousands of dollars & a degree to make comics or to make any kind of art, you just need to start

When I spoke to a high school art class, to warp their minds. Spoke about doing things yourself, and not letting things/people get in your way.

Now go, go out and destroy!

John Watkiss was the best. You know what kind of terror "Ferris Wheel" strikes in the hearts of comic book artists when we read it in a script? Watkiss is like, "Give me a few minutes. I can do it all on one loaded nib."

we need to go back to Alex Toth short stories about a hot rod engine that's been separated from the rest of the car, recounting its racing years on drag strips across the country and how it once sat inside the president's own car

Fun things you can look forward to when self publishing comics: files corrupting. See what happens with my next Kickstarter. Sigh…

If you think The Shining is the most over-analyzed Kubrick movie, think again. People go nuts over Eyes Wide Shut, and the theories range from “hey, wow, you’re right,” to “nah, fam, you’re nuts.” Still, it’s nice to see 30 years later the scholarship (such as it is) for a great film still evolves.
