I proudly represent Maine House District 43. Wife, mother, Meme to 2 great grandkids. The liberal wing of the Higgins family of Castine, Maine.
And she laughs about cutting money to feed children. Cruelty truly is the objective.
Joy and gratitude for being picked to be that special girl allowed to cut the life support for hungry children. They should make a Hallmark movie about it.
Rollins: Joe Biden increased food stamp program funding by 40%. Now… we continue to roll that back… Just gratitude and joy for this work. So, so grateful to you.

➡️ @sulliview.bsky.social agrees with us: The White House media “bias” tracker is a gimmick and most people aren’t going to buy whatever it is selling.

“Trashing the media is not going to help Trump get out of the trouble – or the bubble – that he’s in,” she writes in @theguardian.com.

Today is the 70th anniversary of Rosa Parks' arrest. Six myths: 1) She wasn't old or tired. 42 years old that day, she had a "life history of being rebellious" & had spent two decades helping to turn the Montgomery NAACP into a more activist branch alongside ED Nixon and Johnnie Carr.

Classic American style was also expressed through the idiosyncratic two-button cuff, often made with the buttons slightly spaced apart (but not so much that a third button could fit between them). Even Bernie Sanders understands this look, which is why it's surprising Roger doesn't.

We have an issue, which is anything we do, since we do a lot of contracts with governments here and around the world, we have to be very careful how anything is perceived, and also how the next DOJ is going to deal with it.

Just a friendly reminder as we go into the holidays:

Folks don't have to explain to you why they don't drink.

If you offer them a drink and they decline, don't ask them why. It's not your business.

Just offer them something without alcohol to drink instead. And move on.

If SCOTUS conservatives gut VRA protections from election discrimination, it won't just threaten POC seats in Congress. It is more often used to protect local elections — like in Fayette, TN, where officials used racist voting maps to ensure an all-white county board:

The Supreme Court may further erode the Voting Rights Act in an upcoming decision. Beyond affecting Congress, that would reverberate across local governments nationwide.
