Russian missiles killed 4 people overnight in Kyiv - including, appallingly, 3 first responders as they tried to rescue civilian victims of earlier attacks.

Putin will not stop murdering Ukrainian civilians unless forced.

European leaders must act. 🇺🇦

Patients are desperate to see a doctor, yet up to 1000 new GPs are likely to face unemployment this summer after completing their training - yes, you read that right - because of gross NHS mismanagement.

Fix this madness, please, @wesstreeting.bsky.social 🤷‍♀️

We have a desperate shortage of care workers. This has a catastrophic effect on the NHS too.

Labour’s decision to close the care worker visa scheme for overseas recruitment is appalling, kneejerk politics that - yet again - will penalise the most vulnerable.

No matter how bad you imagine smallpox was, it was worse than that.
Ben Franklin on inoculation, after his son died from smallpox.

“In 1736, I lost one of my sons, a fine boy of four years old, by the small-pox, taken in the common way. I long regretted bitterly, and still regret that I had not given it to him by inoculation”.

Europe’s choice is clear.

To put science at the heart of its economy.

To become the home of scientific freedom and collaboration.

And to welcome talent from all over the world.

Staggering profiteering from the 5 main private companies providing cataract removals to the NHS.

£169 million in 2023-24 alone - a profit margin of 32%.

This is taxpayers' money being squandered on private payouts.

Efficiency, @rthonwesstreeting.bsky.social?

Meddling looks like helping — but it’s draining you.

Jumping in, fixing, redoing: it stops others growing and feeds your overwhelm. Your team will resent you.

Your job is to lead, not do it all.

What might change if you trusted your team with your support, not despite it?

they’re about making space.
And if guilt shows up?
Notice it, it just means you’re breaking an old pattern.

How often do we say, “I’ll do it when I have more time”?
But what if this is the time?

Randy Pausch said:
“Time is all you have. And you may find one day that you have less than you think.”

Life isn’t waiting.
So—what would you do if you stopped waiting for ‘someday’?

A symbol of arrogance is assuming that anyone who disagrees with you is ignorant.

Humility is more than knowing the limits of your knowledge. It’s also about respecting others' knowledge.

Dissenters aren't necessarily uninformed. Differing views often stem from diverging values.

Emotion regulation is not about controlling what you feel. It's about choosing how you respond.

Wise people don't suppress emotion. They find constructive ways to express it.

Intense feelings don't always demand immediate reactions. They often benefit from deep reflection.
