All other public radio shows will be judged against Car Talk. Heck, 99.672% of podcasts wish they could be half show it was. Legendary.
CAR TALK was a perfect radio show. Every two-buddies-talking-about-a-thing podcast is but a pale shade of what Click and Clack managed to do.

Ice and snow continue to dwindle but cold air hard to scour thanks to light wind, cold ground and water, plus our position next to the mountains.

Models showed highs around 60 today but that stayed just south overall. Cold water keeping places like DC and Annapolis chillier than others west.

Anything from just conversational snowflakes to several inches of snow is still in play. If we do see impactful snow, the best chance is probably not until late Sunday aftn or night. Any precip before then looks to be lighter rain or snow with temps too warm for accum other than perhaps on grass.

Next week, Trump will deliver his State of the Union address. I won't be there.

Trump is marching America towards fascism, and I refuse to normalize his shredding of our Constitution & democracy.

This cannot be business as usual.

This morning, the FDA reversed course. It will now review Moderna's flu vaccine.

The FDA's decisions have become far less predictable, but one thing has been constant: vaccine head Vinay Prasad has always chosen the most attention-grabbing action he can.

The FDA’s Moderna pirouette is one more sign of chaos at the agency
For drugmakers and vaccine developers, an FDA reversal on Moderna's flu vaccine is better than the alternative. But it is also another sign of agency chaos.

The Atlantic’s essay about a child’s measles death was gut-wrenching.

Some readers felt deceived when they learned the family in question wasn’t real, the scenario a hypothetical.

The Atlantic’s essay about measles was gut-wrenching. Some readers feel deceived.
Some critics and physicians said Elizabeth Bruenig’s account of a mother confronting a child’s death from measles felt misleading once they learned the story was reported fiction.
