Plenty of great books don't sell, plenty of bad books do, so my gratitude and congratulations go mostly to @celadonbooks.bsky.social for getting mine to its people

The Covid test is now just showing a very faint positive, so I think this thing is headed in the right direction. Two days ago, it looked like a dark red magic marker streak. Now, on day ten, you can barely see the line. (I know it's a "yes/no" kind of test, but at least this feels encouraging.) 🤷🏻‍♀️

Moving paragraphs around like I’ve just knocked into my story with a pool ball. What if this story was inside out. What if it started where it ended & vice versa. What if I wrote the same story in 40 different ways & called it a collection. An exercise. A dare.

Thank you to Ottawa @acorncanada.bsky.social members for coming to Planning Committee today, to tell your stories of landlord intimidation and renovation-related evictions. A renoviction bylaw will come back to council this spring for a final vote. It makes a difference when citizens speak out.

Watched snow cascading like gentle waterfalls from the treetops over the long weekend as the golden hour approached.

Magical moments that I couldn’t possibly capture in their full forest glory, but I tried!

Trump calls Cuba a 'failed nation' 😅 No, Donald, despite decades of oppression by the United States, Cubans have thrived, and would not be in dire straits now if you hadn't worsened your unconscionable and unjust blockade by cutting off their oil imports.
