My ex did every single thing on this list. I was constantly in a state of perpetual trauma trying my best to manage his meltdowns and abuse. I am so grateful I got out and away from him.

I taught an English only class yesterday and it was a very challenging assignment mainly due to 2 yt boys, one who threw tantrums when he was reprimanded and the other kept telling his Latino classmates they would be deported. It really is a much better experience even if I'm not fluent yet.

Teaching a bilingual class today and I like teaching ESL kids so much more than English first language. They listen better, are better behaved and aren't complete jerks like the kids I had to deal with yesterday. Also my Spanish is vastly improving with each day I'm in immersion

Almost made it through a full week of substitute teaching a 3-4 grade class only to have to cancel my last day tomorrow because I've contracted a cold. I should see about getting vaccinated for everything because I'm going to need it.
