Europeans must accept their efforts to flatter or cajole Trump into doing the right thing on Ukraine have failed. Trump is on Putin's side. Europe (minus Hungary, of course) now needs either to ensure RU is defeated in UA, or prepare for Putin to attack other parts of the former Russian empire.
Trump full-on accusing Zelensky of starting the war Russia launched against Ukraine in 2014, before Zelensky was even president, and escalated in 2022 with it unprovoked, full-blown invasion. Not a single criticism toward Putin, a day after the deadliest single attack of the war by Russia this year.
Trump has fully turned on Zelenskyy: "He's always looking to purchase missiles. Listen, when you start a war, you gotta know you can win a war. You don't start a war against somebody that's 20 times your size and then hope that people give you some missiles."

Trump says his tariffs will raise $6 trillion.

Assuming that's over 10 years, that's $600 billion per year.

There are 134 million households, so this is nearly $5,000 per household per year.

And it's like a sales tax, so it's a flat tax. A huge hit to the budgets of working folks.

The collapse of America as a trusted ally in just six weeks is quite the story.

70% of Brits see France as an ally but fewer than half see the US that way, and this is in a country that had a so-called special relationship.

In Germany only 23% see the US as an ally, 24% in France.
