these epstein emails are pretty damning. i sure hope that we haven't spent the last couple years in a cultural backslide where men are seemingly allowed to openly and gleefully fantasize about dominating young women without any threat of reproach

Thanks to Donald Trump, giant tax prep companies are popping champagne, while Americans are forced to spend more time and more money to file their taxes.

Filing your taxes should be free and easy.

The free service that allowed taxpayers to file online directly with the IRS was used by hundreds of thousands of taxpayers in 2024 and 2025, who gave it high marks — although tax prep companies and R...

This is asinine. “They look down on you because you live in rural America!” is a right-wing myth and Democrats’ policies are objectively better for working class white people than Republicans’. These people aren’t victims of ‘both parties,’ they’re victims of propaganda.
This from @jdcivicscience.bsky.social nails why small town, red America is not turning on Trump.

Tonight we learned that it was indeed Andry, the gay man sent to El Salvador because of his “mom” and “dad” tattoos, who an American journalist saw sobbing as guards slapped him repeatedly and shaved his head.

He is an innocent. And Trump sent him to a torture prison.

Bring them back!

the constitution isn’t is a word game and the fact that you can abuse the language to produce an outcome does not mean the constitution allows that outcome. the 22nd amendment was ratified to restrict a president to two terms in office, period. that is what it does.
Anyone discounting a 3d Trump term per the 22d am + the 12th am is thinking magically: The 22d dsn’t bar *serving* a 3d term, only being *elected* 3 times. The 12th dsn’t bar running for VP unless “ineligible” to serve as Pres, but Trump isn’t ineligible. QED!

every person involved in this needs to be in prison

They're bragging about the illegal detainment & arrest of a legal resident who has been charged with no crime. This is not just a 1st amendment violation. It goes against the habeas corpus clause in Article 1 of the Constitution, the actual black-letter statutory law on which the nation was founded.
