I've got you covered. And it's wide + available to libraries.

One unintuitive part of life, which I know as a photosensitive person, is that dark mode is worse for your eyes. The overall darkness opens up your pupils and then the screen text shines bright light into them. I get instant glare and a long text afterimage/pain.

The nazi's site, home to the nazi's AI, has a current viral use as history's most efficient creator and spreader of CSAM, and tons of you are still like 'but I need to keep my account there,' as well as posting screens from there. It only dies when no one looks at it.

The Dispossessed by LeGuin.
Ok, everyone, what book is sacred enough to you to get sworn in on?
Strange takes on Mayor Zamdani swearing his oath on the Qu’ran. It has nothing to do with church & state. The point of the oath is for the person swearing in to do so upon some text that is sacred TO THEM. Some Presidents swore in w/o any book. John Quincy Adams was sworn on a law book. His choice.

Going into 2026. Actually Ratcatcher 2, as portrayed in that one film only, is my most related to superhero character, as she is constantly in need of a nap and she loves animals.

Happy New Year. If you are a writer and you have ever finished that first full length draft and got it to place where it's finished: then you have succeeded, you've made it. So now get creative, craft and enjoy yourself. Everything else is a lottery.

Free SFF books. Discover a new writer, discover Smashwords. Do all the stuff we talk about when annoyed with corpo overlords and platforms, but, you know, actually do it.

Incredible fantasy artist, incredible artist. When I imagine an animated version of Aertelis, it's like the 3D/2D Arcane style, but with this kind of design. Anyway, follow and support artists here.
Here's my #ArtvsArtist2025 ! 🖤🩸

Genuinely so happy with where my art is going and I can't wait to see what 2026 will bring! I have so many exciting projects for the first few months.

I don't need to see you debunk what a fuckwit said on a platform I'm not on. I need you starve them of oxygen, to let them "die."

Best film I watched across 2025 was Love Lies Bleeding. Arthouse existentialist film is Gen X nectar. On that topic, Infinity Pool is great also.

We can love books, and also significantly split our time between other pursuits. If we're going to write convincingly, I would say it's essential.

Inspired by @ashcapes.bsky.social 's post just now. Here's the opening paragraph of my WIP. Don't be afraid of taking your time with prose, rhythm and image in #fantasy never mind online 101 writing tips: express yourself, play, build.

I there is one thing for 2026 that could improve Bsky the most, it's continuing to ween ourselves off the bad Twitter behavior which underlies all the other bad stuff. Like, stop quote dunking. It gives air to something that would otherwise have died, and it's playground dynamics.

First published from 1989-1992, these are still great in every sense.

You can escape the exhausting 'Is Diehard a Christmas Movie?' convo correctly and quickly by making your first response, 'what is your criteria for a Christmas Movie?' Then based on their criteria you can easily answer yes or no and satisfy their pre-decided correct answer.

Christmas re-read, the collected @2000ad.bsky.social Indigo Prime stories. The first one came out in 1989, which I read while not revising for GCSEs.

2025 internet: furious about historical accuracy of film they've seen less than two mins of, a gonzo fantasy fiction of unknown date of setting, passed down for ages, written up by multiple authors, attributed to author of unknown life dates.

Also, no one mentions white casting of Ancient Greeks.

And I remember Cold Steel is published this year, completing the Fire Heart duology. You won't find them on S'pore's shelves because censorship.

And Wolf's Path can be found at Kino and online bookstores.

I did achieve things this year!

Indie bookstores, it you are interested...

Readers loving Shesheshen and Homily has filled my life with brightness.

But the truth is, a lot of really honkin' good books never get published. Wrong day, wrong editor, wrong mood, wrong breakfast. The lack of virtue in the system is why it's so important to lift up writers who touch your soul.
I mean, it helps that it’s really fuckin’ good.
