I'm Andrew, a TTRPG game designer from the Pacific Northwest.

I published Girl by Moonlight last year with @evilhat.bsky.social

I've got a couple new projects underway that I'm excited to share soon.

Appreciate folks following me here (many of whom I recognize from twitter) over the past week.
With We Contain Solitudes in the bag, I have moved into development and playtesting on a new project.
Here's my first pass at an intro for the game, as a little teaser for anyone interested.

Excuse me as I bury myself into a hole while I process all the absolute joy working on @bloomandblight.bsky.social has been.

If you are looking for a story about a bunch of queer heroes fighting for a brighter tomorrow against an evil AI, we have the most amazing story for you.
Unsurprisingly, @holloworange.bsky.social became our touchstone for the magical girl themes and tropes we love so much.

Wolfsbane's brooding story arc from "I want to punch everything" to "I want to punch everything, but I've also grown as a character" was expertly done and a delight to watch.

Been meaning to write about this game for ages and finally did. Games are very good sometimes! Here's one!

Absolutely loved this game. Weird-as-you-want worldbuilding, characters you instantly care about, and all building towards an almost (but not quite!) guaranteed tragic ending. Get it.
Ithaca in the Cards: Second Expedition is out now on digital release! You can get the PDF at ehronlime.itch.io/ithaca-in-th... for $15. This GM-less blackjack driven storygame has you playing as doomed travelers on a perilous journey home, pitting your hand and hearts against Fate.

As I’m typing these words, Israel is illegally intercepting the Global Sumud Flotilla that is trying to break the siege on Gaza.

This is an illegal enforcement of an illegal blockade.

So I reached out to the Canadian government to see what they would do for the six Canadians on board:

Call for recommendations: I'm starting a new project, and I'm looking for things to read (or watch, I suppose, but mostly read). My starting point is Ambergris by Vandermeer, City & the City by Mieville, The Raven Tower by Leckie.
Would love recs of things that are in convo with those

Tried to attend Game Garden today, which is a local video games expo/demo thing, and I had a frustrating experience.
Short version: while technically accessible, I was basically unable to do anything at the event as a wheelchair user because of how everything was laid out + crowd of people

Here's a piece that means a lot to me. I spoke to @andrewgillis.bsky.social to discuss Girl By Moonlight, their Magical Girl RPG (published by @evilhat.bsky.social). The game is full of magic, heartbreak, and bittersweet hope.

Massive thanks to @wyrdscience.bsky.social for publishing this.

For real, if you've ever been considering reviewing / interviewing / etc. someone but stopped yourself because the book was released months ago... do it! We love getting coverage after pub day.
Worst thing to happen to book crit was getting mercilessly synced to pub dates. writer gets 97% of the coverage they're ever getting by the end of week 2, & if the book is widely reviewed (positive or not) in prestige places some of your would-be audience burns out on takes & skips the book itself.
