To anyone feeling unheard, or alone: you are not alone, and there are more good people in the world than not. There is connection to be found here (as long as it's followed up with in person gathering (safely)). I dunno, maybe the Internet can one day again be a place where people find hope.

Renee Good was the widow of a 14-year E-6 Air Force veteran, Timmy Ray Macklin Jr., who had served in Afghanistan. Macklin Jr. died in 2023 at the age of 36.

The scale of the protests in Iran are absolutely unbelievable. Hard to quantify, but I've seen some speculation that this uprising is more significant than the 2023 protests (themselves the largest challenge to the regime since it came into power in '79.)
