Democrats need to pick this issue up again pronto, stop resting on our Obamacare laurels.
And that means not getting pedantic and purist about “single payer”. There are 32 proven ways to skin this cat. (I’m a huge fan of the Japanese model. It could be a drop-in solution with minimal changes.)

I found out today that 40% of the corn grown in the US goes to ethanol for auto fuel.
And once you factor in all the carbon cost of growing all that corn and turning it into ethanol, it’s probably worse for the climate than just burning that much gasoline.
