The first time I visited Kennedy Space Center, my brother & I drove across FL during his spring break specifically so I could frolic in the rocket garden & geek out over every exhibit and piece of space memoribilia. I never dreamed I'd be here almost 20 years later, working a mission launch. 🥹🚀☀️
Just saw the MOST hilarious post about Starfleet Academy in a FB group - yet another old white man triggered by how the show has "no masculine authority" 🤣🤣🤣 & "Klingon erasure" bc a Klingon wants to study medicine/biology.

These old farts are making me like the show EVEN MORE!

You mad, bro? 😛

Transphobia is a cancer of the heart and mind.

It is a useless fear, based on ignorance and cruelty.

Trans people are not responsible for a single one of the problems we face.

Do the world a favor and grow the fuck up.

Tonight's episode is an important one - "In Which We Meet Mr. Jones" 🍏🦋🍁

But this post is to appreciate the dear departed Lance Reddick, who I love so much as Agent Broyles. He starts out very hard on the crew but becomes a true ally. Much like the XFiles' Skinner, actually!

SWFO launched on the same rocket as IMAP, and they all headed out on a cosmic road trip to L1 (LaGrange Point 1, a stable orbit between the Earth & the Sun).

Here's a pic of all 3 spacecraft that launched together on Sept 24, 2025. And now they are all happily transmitting! 🙌🏻💜💫 YAY SCIENCE!

These morons are beyond, what a bunch of evil stupid vain narcissists running this government.
From NYT interview with FBI official on Patel. Utterly terrifying.

"His staff only cared about three things: what his meals were, when his workouts would be and what his entertainment would be. The biggest plan is how he's going to get his girlfriend to Windsor Castle."

I saw a standup video about texting & just thought about that time a college dude friend got mad at me for texting him (bc his dad had lied and said he had to pay for every text message).

We didn't yet have smartphones in college but that guy's dad was extracting 10¢ per text from him. 🤣🤣🤣

I'm always baffled by the "I'll ONLY read old fantasy" crowd.

You know there are LIVING authors doing really cool stuff, right? Like, LOTS of them? And we could get MORE if more people bought their stuff?

Hey, while we're waiting, dash off a quick voice or email to your reps, telling them that giving DHS $10 billion more to terrorize US cities ain't it, and that if they won't draw a line at deporting US citizens, they need to stop down and let someone else lead.

MLK was only 39 when he was killed. Growing up, I thought that was old. But I’m 43 now and I’m stunned by the burden he shouldered at such a young age. I’m also a lot more aware of how hard it is, at any age, to carry the hopes and dreams of an oppressed people on your shoulders, as so many do.

That must be the target audience: new audiences like you. Old Star Trek audiences like me are contrived about how 'uncaptain-like' Holly Hunter was.

I have begun a rewatch of Fringe. I love this show! It started out as an XFiles clone but soon developed its own unique POV & arc.

Remember 20-episode seasons? When we really got to know characters? I do.

John Noble is a treasure. Plus, Joshua Jackson? YES please 🔥🥵

This is what happened in our neighborhood yesterday. ICE snatched a human being off of our streets, roughed them up badly, and then pepper sprayed legal observers as they documented it all. This is a daily occurrence happening all throughout Minnesota right now.

Never forget that billionaires spend billions to convince you that voting doesn't matter. Don't help them. Voting isn't the ONLY thing we can do, but it is the most powerful check on the executive. "Don't bother voting because there'll be no free elections" is oligarch propaganda.
