Someone needs to explain to our Sec of Commerce how capitalism works.

America has a GLOBAL TRADE SURPLUS on services. Services have the highest margins and profits of our exports. That is where capital and expertise focused.

It is why we dominate in tech globally.

This is the moment we’ve always been headed towards. If the President refuses to follow a court’s order we are in deep crisis. The GOP has courted this disaster.
JUST IN: A federal judge in Washington says she's concerned that the White House is still implementing the spending freeze that she and a Rhode Island judge have ordered temporarily halted.

The federal government *regularly* spends money to encourage behavior it couldn’t compel directly. Like paying states to build roads or fund healthcare for those who can’t afford it.

It’s called the Spending Clause—and it’s the very first enumerated power that the Constitution gives to Congress.

Musk is straight up admitting to violating the law here. DOGE has no authority to do any of this.
This comes after we have had a long line of Supreme Court cases involving conservative Christians complaining about being shut out of government programs for discriminatory reasons. Court also says it is totally off-limits to question legitimacy of someone's faith.

Basically, all of Kash Patel's hearing was like this:

Dem Sen: You said on the "Tightest Whitie Podcast," quote, 'I'm going to use the FBI to hunt down Trump's enemies, period, full stop, it's as simple as that, no more, no less." Is that your intent?

Patel: That was taken out of context.

a. Cannon has no jurisdiction because of the appeal of the dismissal. She has no power to do jack shit in this case now.

b. She’s got no business addressing the 1/6 report not only because of (a) but because that’s totally separate from the case she dismissed.
