just keep thinking about my colleague's @racketmn.com piece that Fort Snelling, this building where ICE is HQ'd, is the site of a concentration camp, part of institutionalized genocide against the Dakota.

BIG FLAG: Trump said during his interview with The New York Times that he regretted not ordering the National Guard to seize voting machines in swing states after his loss in the 2020 election.

He doubted whether the Guard was "sophisticated enough" to carry out the order effectively.

Trump, who described himself as “the least racist person there is anywhere in the world,” is echoing the narratives of Jim Crow segregationists when they opposed civil rights legislation. He is echoing great replacement theorists who push this conspiracy about antiracist laws harming White people.

He's such an evil and heartless man.
Once again, Trump is using hunger as a political weapon. In other contexts this would be called a war crime. In this context, you can just call it evil as all fuck.

Great piece by my Cato colleague. “Since July, immigration agents have shot at least six people behind the wheel of a vehicle. The same playbook is used each time: the agent says they “feared for their life” as a vehicle was “weaponized” against them. Juries should decide, but we tie their hands.
Opinion | Renee Good wasn’t the first person shot in her car by ICE. The justification followed a familiar script.
