I'm watching Twilight for the first time.
Does Bella steal a cactus from the wild to take with her to her Dad's house?! That is pretty irresponsible.

I just found a small ichneumon wasp in my room and I'm like "hey little one, I'll help you out" and I gently cupped my hands around it to shift it 15cms to fly out the door, and she bloody stung me on the finger - a tiny zap, but excuse me, you are not the friendly little wasp I thought you were. 🦑

I wanted to get a video of this ghost crab but every time I got close to their hole they scuttled back in, so I tried getting clever with it. I made a little sandcastle and shoved my phone into it, hit record, and walked away. Crab was VERY suspicious of this addition to their environment.

xkcd absolutely nailing what it's like to be an entomologist. xkcd.com/3140 Except for "horrifying", read "fascinating". Entomologists are hard to horrify. About bugs, anyway.

🕷️ Social spiders have bigger brains… but only in the right places! Our new study shows that in social huntsman spiders, regions for memory & vision processing are proportionally larger, supporting group living.

I'm reviewing my fifth manuscript for the year, and I've decided that scientists overuse conjunctive verbs, and it annoys me SO much.
Additionally, stop it.

You too should have to think of Big Dick Bigfoot whenever someone mentions ChatGPT
What the fuck kind of stupid arguement is this?
A typical Farm also uses up more power than a 20ft neon sign of Bigfoot with an erection; the difference is that one is necessary for food supply, and the other is a big stupid fucking waste of power and resources JUST LIKE CHAT GPT!

Trans men’s insight on this is so fucking valuable in understanding the nuances of what’s going on with men. We need to be amplifying them, and hopefully cis men can realize what is actually the source of their loneliness.

A sign of how far right the Republican party has moved. The first Earth Day in 1970 was supported by then president Richard Nixon (a Republican) who also signed the Clean Air Act, the Endangered Species Act, and other key pieces of environmental legislation.

Road verges can support #pollinators but their potential for preserving representatively diverse and even communities is limited, due in part to high densities of non-native plants.
