Currently reading Wild Blood by Nancy A. Collins...easily one of the most heinous books I've ever read (positive)

The lady in the next apartment just *hates* her cat. Every time I hear it meow through the wall it's immediately followed by her yelling "STOP IT!"

This Epstein drop is HUGE and utterly disgusting. I don’t see how this man is allowed to remain in office. Where are the evangelical leaders, the soccer moms, the folks stocking up on eggs, the farmers, the small business owners.

Decide. Who are you?

I know I'm in the minority here but this was kinda of how I felt about Mandy. No movie with a murder cult, motorcycle cenobites and a damn chainsaw duel should move that slowly.
Quite a talent to make a film with ghosts, zombies, sword fighting, flying lions that shoot lightning, and sexy spider ladies, and it be this boring. #TheFilmcrowd

Ice storm gave me the time to finish editing a story today and submit two others for publication so feeling pretty good. Rewarding myself with some time curled on the couch with this beauty: Wilding by Melanie Tem - it's so damn good!

Gradually coming to realize I'm not as big a fan of Paul Thomas Anderson as I thought I was. I've seen 6 of his 10 movies and, while I loved 3 of the 6, I honestly did not like the other 3 at all.

Just watched Psycho Beach Party (leaving the Criterion Channel this month) and it's probably the most fun I've had watching a movie in a long time 🔥

Rewatched Mishima: a Life in Four Chapters for the first time in 10 years and it was even better than I remembered. Philip Glass' score is mesmerizing.

Four stills from a film you consider to be a masterpiece. No title.

Theo is an amazing person and writer and anything anyone can give to assist them in this hard time would help and be deeply appreciated ❤
So living with my parents abruptly became unsafe (mentally/emotionally) and I'm leaving ASAP. I have somewhere to go, but it's out of state. I'm packing now but I have to register my car before I go and that's $500. Anything helps. 🫀

Watched this with my dad and stepmom when it first came out. In the opening 5 minutes my dad turned to me and said "Is this one of those artistic movies?"

one of the worst parts about depression is you can witness all the horrible shit happening around the globe and still you're just sucked down into the vortex of your own meaningless bullshit. Makes you feel ashamed to be you

This year I was lucky enough to have three stories published! One appeared in the pages of Cosmic Horror Monthly and the other two can be found in the anthologies We Can Always Tell and in Wyrd Werewolf Wrangler.

I know I complain about AI a lot but another trend I HATE are these new releases of classic novels with AI covers. Like, the book was written in 1875 and most Victorian paintings are free use, you can slap one on the cover for free and it will look 100% better without killing the planet.

Moby-Dick by Herman Melville
The Maltese Falcon by Dashiell Hammett
Interview with the Vampire by Anne Rice
The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas
Dune by Frank Herbert
The Lord of the Rings by J. R. R. Tolkien
