Trump admin Is attempting to massive cut federal transit funds, seeking to:
1–Eliminate transit account, which funds billions of $ in capital expenses for transit agencies
2–Prevent state DOTs from “flexing” funds for transit

These changes, if they occurred, would be devastating for US transit.
POLITICO Pro: Trump administration proposals seek to eliminate transit funding
DOT recently sent two proposals to the White House budget office seeking to pare back transit money.

QANON CULTIST IN 2017: "In this 1,879 page thread I will unravel the byzantine system of codewords and phrases the global elite use to mask their pedophile cabal."

JEFFREY EPSTEIN WRITING AN EMAIL AT THE SAME TIME: "helo its me jeff had fun cmmitting sex crimes wit u lst weeknd"
pretty funny in retrospect that QAnon hinged on the idea that powerful elites at the highest levels of government were smart enough to talk in code when sending emails to each other about their despicable crimes

Imagine living in a suburb that had streetcar service for decades and then opposing it's re-implementation.

Looking at archival papers on Louisville's old rail infrastructure is fun but sometimes it feels like getting hit in the head with a brick repeatedly

Who wants to bet the $17 million surplus from the mid-year budget adjustment, that likely stems from overfunding LMPD, is going to be re-allocated back to LMPD again.

Just added Louisville's 1916 Streetcar Network to Rails to the Past. The network's 15 lines are all marked.

If we pretend TARC is actually a sort of police department then maybe metro council will provide funding for it

It's official: A democratic socialist (and Jacobin contributor) will be the next mayor of America's largest city.

It’s proof that organizing around universal programs and working-class demands can still win big in the heart of capitalism.

Very funny (and sad) how Greenberg's mayoral website highlights decreasing homeless encampments rather than actual homelessness. Pretty emblematic of how his administration deals with the problem - out of sight out of mind.

Data centers are spreading across the country and contributing to rising electricity bills. It’s becoming a political issue as lawmakers are still workshopping their response.

when the people who shuttered USAID learn of a diabetic single mother and her disabled son starving to death 9,000 miles away because of aid cuts, they don't see failure or dereliction or tragedy, but rather success: the people they view as unworthy of life are dying
