Germany will invest in research on Long COVID and related conditions — great news!

We’re delighted to be taking part in Big Give’s #ChristmasChallenge!

From 2–9 December, every donation you make to LCK will be doubled. That means twice the impact for children and young people living with Long Covid and overlapping conditions. 💚

When I had a Stroke in 2022, after having Long Covid on two occasions, the Professor believed microclots caused by the Long Covid may have caused my “small vessel Stroke”. I’m pleased this has now been identified as a possible cause for this type of Stroke.

Long Covid can impact anyone regardless of age or health status. Women can be at higher increased risk of severe outcomes. There is not enough awareness of long Covid very little help for sufferers. COVID has been politicised so I believe out there many struggle on not wanting to label 🧵
One Public Health department is telling the whole story. Shining a light on those who are being less than transparent! Oopsie!

So I try not to give too many gory details about life with long covid, but I also think it’s important to give a clear picture of what can happen to anyone.

Over the last yearish, I’ve become allergic to more than 70 foods. Today I lost soy. I’m not how long I can keep eating at all.

My MCAS hit before Covid, but it’s been devastating to my ability to eat.

I’m down to 10 safe foods. I’m malnourished and still losing weight.

The digestive and allergic issues that can accompany Long Covid are very destructive to quality of life.
So I try not to give too many gory details about life with long covid, but I also think it’s important to give a clear picture of what can happen to anyone.
