What I've learned from Black people:
1) vote in every local and interim election, not just federal
2) from the available choices, always vote for harm reduction for minorities because that's in ALL our best interests

Everyone wants to wake up but the work is isolating. Each question you answer makes you ask 8 more. Each revelation makes cruelty harder. But it makes you aware of how easy cruelty is. Awakening is not fun for a long time. And you meet a lot of people who mean it in words only.

Every once in a while I tell people from other countries about how the health insurance system works in the US and they are aghast. Yesterday a guy straight up didn’t believe me when I said people can die because of not being able to afford medicine. He was sure I meant in the distant past.
