To get NYS to tax the rich, Zohran and we, the many, have the same objective but two distinct tasks:

Zohran's task is to play nice with the governor right up until the moment that becomes a dead-end.

Our task, as @nychange.bsky.social shows by example, is to push Hochul relentlessly, starting now.
🚨BREAKING: We’re ready for Round 2! Today, we came to Wall Street to endorse @delgadoforny.bsky.social for Governor.

While bankers rake in record profits, working people are being crushed. The choice is clear: corporate politics under Kathy Hochul or people power with Antonio Delgado.

The value of reading history is you know that in 1860 there were abolitionists who were so demoralized that they thought chattel slavery would be permanent. 5 years later those still alive had lived to see its end.

Even if it wasn't a riff on a Johnny Cash song, what good does it do to suspend someone for 72 hours?

Doesn't keep anyone safe. Doesn't stop it from happening again. Doesn't repair any harm. Just a cheap imitation of the criminal punishment system, is that what it's meant to be?
The account owner of @sarahkendzior.bsky.social was suspended for 72 hours for expressing a desire to shoot the author of an article. The post, made 11/10, stated: "I want to shoot the author of this article just to watch him die." 1/2

“Mamdani’s plan for universal child care … may be the area where he and the governor can make the most common cause. Hochul’s upcoming reelection fight next year might add an incentive for her to act.”

Mamdani’s success on other fronts will depend on how much pressure his allies can bring to bear.

It also cost over $1B in private contracts to build in a place meant to hold 1000 people. So, basically it’s a fascist grift.

Pennies, which cost nearly 4 cents apiece to mint, “still have a better production-cost-to-value ratio than the nickel, which costs nearly 14 cents to make. The diminutive dime, by comparison, costs less than 6 cents to produce and the quarter nearly 15 cents.”
