When I feel like everything is awful and nothing I do matters *gestures broadly* I claw back bits of mental health by doing small things in my immediate surroundings. Sometimes I have the bandwidth outside of that, today I don't. So I'm making stock out of kitchen scraps, cooking beans and cleaning.

I just put homemade tiramisu in the fridge to chill/set overnight for a co-worker’s birthday celebration tomorrow. I show people I love them by making them food. (She requested tiramisu so tiramisu she will have!) 🍜🍽️

Finished the crocheting part. Now to weave in ends and give it a wash, and then this baby blanket goes off to the wee girl I made it for. 🧶

Work event done. An attendee came up to me after and said “You can tell when you talk that you really love your job” and friends it may not be possible to top that as a work-related compliment.
Arrived in Victoria and stopped by my hotel to see if they could store my bag for a few hours before my work event today and hey! My room is ready at 9:30am! So I am having a little lie down before I must turn up the wattage and try to be interesting. (Speaking on a panel.)
