Can’t see how Schumer moves past this as leader.

I like Schumer, but what has he won in the last decade other than a lucky break in 2020?

He’s lost his pulse on the party and can’t bring wins. This was the final nail in the coffin.

This is an attack on the EEOC and the idea that people should have civil rights in their workplace. With everything else happening today, this is another unbelievable move. I'm proud to be part of a team that is doing critical work to push back.
Lisa Banks and Debra Katz are representing Charlotte A. Burrows, former Chair and Commissioner of the EEOC. She was fired on Monday by President Trump.

Proud of our friend and @katzbankskumin.bsky.social client, Sam Salehpour, for his courage in continuing to speak up about Boeing's safety practices.
Boeing whistleblower and KBK client Sam Salehpour joined @60minutes.bsky.social with other brave whistleblowers last night to discuss safety concerns that he has raised regarding the assembly of Boeing’s 777 airplanes.

“Impacted by layoffs” somehow entered the public consciousness as a phrase and it’s one of the most irritating pieces of Orwellian doublespeak I see daily.

Just say it. It’ll feel better.

People who don’t bow to cult of Elon and Donald are constantly bombarded by harassment on Twitter, and it only gets worse.

Why why why would we stay?
The handwringing lectures about how the left has no choice but to stay on Twitter are even more ridiculous when you remember that the far right used a series of alternative media — from direct mail to talk radio to Fox News to Breitbart to Gab, Parler and Truth Social — as their path to victory.

Good. It’s horrific how other platforms abused their reach to strangle local, independent, and national outlets alike.

I WANT to see news and actual vetted work and I WANT journalists to get rewarded for it.

Because I want to live in a thinking human world over some AI generated slop dystopia

You're not "late to the party" when you enjoy an old book for the first time. Books don't have an RSVP deadline. The party started long ago, and guests show up when they're meant to.

It’s only a “demagogue” if it’s from the Demagouge region of Greece, otherwise its sparkling authoritarianism.
please don’t use the word “demagogue” for that piece of shit. you sound like you’re officiating a prep school badminton tournament. he’s a “piece of shit.”

When did “debate” become synonymous with “constant harassment by those willing to pay $8 a month?”
Bunch of British journalists on the radio earlier pondering whether Bluesky is going to be bad for debate and I really think that journalists massively overestimate how much time people want to spend each day on debating each other.

Just read on my bird app feed that women who are upset about the election should “quit the histrionics” and Obama is apparently a moron for endorsing Kamala Harris. That just isn’t it dawg.

It’s just Truth Social over there now.

Jared, blink twice if you need help.
Jared Polis, the Democratic Governor of Colorado, announces his support of Robert Kennedy Jr as Secretary of Health and Human Services.

Polis says he’s “excited,” by the news.

Me, at the #MaPoli store: "Mom, it would be cool to have a Kennedy in high office."

Mom: "We have a Kennedy at home."

watching a dem "influencer" shift content from progressive causes to wildly conspicuous cosumption. Wasn't going to say anything, but the private plane content after pics of a wildly expensive wedding sent me.

Great for her, but we shouldn't be wondering why the dem internet game didn't resonate.
