Millions of Americans with Obamacare could face steep price increases if Congress lets extra funding expire in December.
Why Obamacare Bills May Double Next Year
Extensive subsidies that reduce premium costs for millions are set to expire, unless Congress extends them.

Long live Murray Rothbard. All praise to anarcho-capitalists who depend on hard work and meritocracy. Surely, they'll reject any evil handouts from the government.
I honestly cannot believe they are just coming out and saying this...
Bessent on Argentina: "The plan is as long as President Milei continues with his strong economic policies to help him, to bridge him to the election, we are not going to let a disequilibrium in the market cause a backup in his substantial economic reforms."

When critical race theorists point out that “neutrality” and “objectivity” are often a thin veneer for white supremacy, they mean stuff like this.
An opinion writer is not allowed to criticize the paper on social media for using a Nazi source but the reporter who worked with the Nazi source was free to leave a long social media trail being buddy-buddy with the Nazi in public

A full half of Medicaid recipients voted for the Republicans in 2024. Well informed people might scoff about Leopards Eating Faces, but media coverage in 2024 centered on inflation (particularly bad for the poor) and "debunking" the idea that Project 2025 was a Trump Campaign vehicle. 1/2
Final vote. 50-50. VP breaks the tie.

One single GOP Senator could have stopped this abomination. Saved millions of parents from watching their child go hungry. Saved the lives destroyed when Medicaid disappears.

They will all live forever with the horror of this bill.

Republicans finally found a way to bring down costs. All it took was magically declaring expensive things to be free.
At least, that’s the lesson of OBBB, whose Senate passage today required reinventing the laws of accounting.
