In case anyone wonders what it’s like to be disabled in alberta, I just had a lady tell me that I was ACCEPTED to the CANADA DISABILITY BENEFIT and would be getting $1400 of past months funding plus $200/mo going forward.

She didn’t understand why I started sobbing.

Kansas has passed a bill that would revoke trans people's drivers licenses, forcing them to surrender them for replacements.

It also creates trans bounty hunters that can sue trans people for money.

It goes to the gov, who will veto, but R's can override.

3. ICE is using government data from state DMVs and federal agencies and refuses to answer questions about how that data is used. I'm also leading that fight in the Senate to rein them in, and warned states that care about their residents to stop sharing DMV data with ICE.

Half of Nashville's population was without power.

Utilities tend to be monopolies, yet many municipalities let them put their customers' lives in danger by allowing power companies to lay lines cheaply (above ground), where they are more likely to be affected by ice and cut off power in the cold.
