If you ever wondered what you would have done in World War II when Japanese Americans were sent to concentration camps—now you know. It’s what you’re doing now.

Until I can make Windows look like Windows 95, the theme isn't fucking "personalised."

I've been fucking around with Windows settings longer than half of your developers have been alive, Microsoft. Win11 is a travesty and your decision makers need to be demoted.

Also, DEI stands for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. Do not let them get away with rewriting that history too.

AOC holding rallies in Nevada and Arizona.

She is one of the few Democrats who seem fully prepared to take this fight to where it needs to be held.
⚡️FIGHT THE OLIGARCHY RALLY ⚡️
STARTING TOMORROW.

Nevada. Arizona. Colorado.
You, me, and Bernie.
Dem and GOP districts. ❤️💙

See you there 💪🏽🌞

Just a reminder if you're a working white woman or a disabled white man, you are ALSO a DEI hire and they will come for us too.

In a shocking turn of events, many of the people who said they wanted "free speech" actually just wanted to be the ones in charge of which speech is free.
UPDATE—Mahmoud's attorney says they do NOT know where he is.
They were first told he was sent to an ICE facility in Elizabeth, NJ. But when his 8-month-pregnant wife tried to visit him, she was told he's not there.
They've received reports he may be sent as far away as Louisiana.

The millennial experience is growing up with the internet, and watching it go from a free, open, democratic, and eclectic ecosystem to a wasteland of five websites controlled by billionaires, and now seeing it quickly fill up with AI-generated slop.

I want our World Wide Web back.
i don't want to hear your most boomer complaint. what's your most millennial complaint?

Yeah, how about not dissolving the air safety advisory commission at the FAA. As your team did last week.

A suggestion to avoid burnout. Identify the communities and movements where you can do good and make change and focus in the coming four years. You can't be at the center of every social change movement, and that's ok! Trust other folks to do the work elsewhere and lock in to your own.

I would encourage people to focus their energy today on remembering and honoring Dr. King's legacy more than any of the other events happening in the US.

personally I think it’s good that the incoming administration is promising not to enforce a ban that was passed by Congress, signed by the president, and upheld by the Supreme Court. It’ll be fun to wake up every morning and find out which laws are still real.

THIS is what more people should be into! Not only does it make the supporter feel like a fancy Patron of the Arts™️

You also get to show your artist friends how much you truly love and value their talent! ♥️
I’ve seen an artist do “sponsor a personal artwork”. It was 1/4 of the price of a commission and if you pay it they work on a personal project. I actually love this and wish more artists did it.

This turns out to have not been a particularly tricky prediction.
I for one am excited for TikTok to show me a splashy "The US GOVERNMENT HAS DESTROYED EVERYTHING YOU LOVE" screen when I open the app next week followed by Donald Trump crawling through glass to get it back because it helped get him elected thus solidifying him as a HERO OF THE EVERYDAY AMERICAN.

Are you getting spam comments on your #AO3 works about "buying art"? Our OTW #Tumblr account has put together a post on how to help us circumvent it! 🤝 www.tumblr.com/transformati...
Are you getting that annoying "Buy Art from Me" spam on your AO3? Here is what to do
First - if you are a real non-spam person asking folks to commission art by commenting on their fics on AO3.. please do not do that. That is a violation of the TOS. Second - We are working on filter…

I also need people to grasp the concept that addressing an impending problem just might fix it -- and when the problem ends up not occurring, it's because the problem was addressed, not because it was fake. (see also: the hole in the ozone layer)
A stressor you can break free of:

Industry report: Identifies potential upcoming resource / mineral shortages.

The News: “THERE WILL BE A SHORTAGE IN 5 YEARS.”

Industry: Reacts to report’s identification of economic opportunity, increasing exploration and supply. No shortage ever appears.

The point this article makes about how acknowledging COVID is still a problem ruins "the vibe" is incredibly important. I travelled a few weeks back and caved to social pressure not to wear a mask on the plan, and ended up extremely sick. Ruin the vibe, stay alive 😂
