Visited #HotelCaptainCook for New Year gathering 💫 Aurora inspired chocolate and delicious food throughout.
The British flag inside honors the hotel’s namesake, explorer Captain James Cook🇬🇧

Days once lived in the rhythm of the city, and a lunch break lying in a snowy field.☃️❄️
Living in Alaska now feels
quietly surreal—and deeply grateful.💫

High temperatures (ºF) in and around Alaska on Monday. Dramatic warming across the central/eastern Interior with max temps 25 to 40ºF higher than on Sunday. Milder in most of Southeast but with more rain and snow. Also milder with snow in Southcentral. #akwx #weather @climatologist49.bsky.social

A modern kadomatsu and ikebana from my mother🎍
Clean lines of pine with subtle gold and red accents, and seasonal flowers arranged with space and gentle movement.
A quiet, beautiful way to welcome the new year✨

Eyelashes freezing, fingers numb—even through my gloves. Alaska on the winter solstice. A short walk along Eagle River at −6°F, ice everywhere, a bald eagle overhead🦅 Harsh and beautiful✨
Happy holiday season🎄❄️

I went for a short walk during my lunch break today. At 2°F (-17°C )everything looked incredibly beautiful, but the air was so cold it felt like it was stinging my lungs with every breath. Experiencing winter in Alaska is both harsh and awe-inspiring.❄️🥶 #Alaska #BreathTakingCold

I found a beautiful handmade crochet piece that really captures the Alaskan spirit. The hat is beautifully woven with Alaska fox fur and feels so special. I’m so excited to send them to my family in Japan to share a little Alaska vibe.🧶#AlaskaLife
