People throw around "greatest of all time" way too often, but if I were to make a list of the 10 best wrestlers I've ever seen, Eddy Guerrero would be on it without question. The guy could do absolutely everything, and overcame immense odds to make it in his era. RIP Eddy, 38 is way too young to go.
20 years since Eddie Guerrero passed feels like one of those things that feels impossible to believe. I remember that day and ensuing week so vividly.

Honestly, this applies to more than just wrestling. Women have played a huge part in many, many fandoms that largely get ignored in favor of "thats for boys." Women saved Star Trek. Women saved Gundam. So on and so forth
Women are a huge mostly untapped market for modern wrestling in NA. Go back and watch 80s wrestling. It wasn't mostly dudes in the crowds. It was children and women. NJPW went into a modern boom period by focusing on marketing to women.

I was recently chatting about Jimmy Rave's robe (that Ricochet currently has in AEW), and realized a lot of people may not know Rave's tragic story, or why the robe means so much.
Rave was the "Crown Jewel" of the Embassy, Prince Nana's original star client in the old ROH. Nana gave him the robe.

Yeah I studied philosophy, religion and sociology, which prepared me for *all of this* from different angles.

i am 100% of the belief that simply forcing take-writers to answer the question "who specifically said this and why are they significant" would result in substantially fewer bad takes circulating in the world
if i ever teach a class on argumentative writing i am going to use these paragraphs as an example of how to NOT write persuasively for an audience.
