Interesting interview with Heather Knight, particularly on what she got from John Lewis when he was the coach.

I have cultivated a strategy which guarantees I always win at Monopoly: I lose as quickly as possible. The remaining players think I've lost, but they're wrong. I escaped first, so I win.

Good to see - this feels like the big test for the ECB this year... Can they match the experience of the rugby World Cup last year or the football one the year before?

We'll see if this winter's work opens up opportunities for different players. It seems to me to at least offer that in ways that a winter bilateral tour might not.

New one from Remember Sports. Kind of in my unhinged country zone (but perhaps not as unhinged as all that).

Sort of glad #TheAshes are done and the daily flogging and flip flopping by the English media is over.

Remember the Will Jacks should bat at 3 discourse? Remember how 4 innings ago England set Bethell up to fail?

I get it, there's a lot of time to fill but it's all so reactionary

Joe Root has had a curious series: two 100s, but only 96 in his other 7 innings combined. The record for "two centuries in a series and not much else" was set a year ago today, when Steve Smith made 140 and 101 in the home series v India, but only 73 in his other 7 innings.

Just been to #Kenrex at The Other Place. Beg, borrow, steal a ticket. Or just buy one I suppose...

This review of it is on point.
REVIEW: Kenrex
Madly gripping and jaw-droppingly masterful, this is the best crafted piece on stage I have seen in years.

A fantastic story. 15,000 spectators for the final game in the 1930s.

""All these women ask is that they be taken seriously and not judged by male standards," she wrote all those years ago."

One for @crickether.com, @bethcooper.fyi and @somuchcricket.bsky.social to spread!
