Hi, I’m Alan.
In case you’ve missed my last 2 decades on social media, I’m a total car nerd, particularly about the Toyota Yaris, but I also cycle and enjoy hiking.
Trains, buses and public transport/transit are cool too and I think all those should be cleaner, more frequent and cheaper.

Tesla: you bought this used Tesla 4 days ago?

Try parking it inside
Why do you think the previous owner sold it?

Ferrari: Skinny athletic kid, lettered in track, smart but flaky, fashionable, into jazz, has a track scholarship to college but plans to major in art history.

Lamborghini: Gym boy, head banger, football scholarship at State U and will major in business.

Somebody tried to be funny in FB marketplace and began by dissing the price I had something advertised for before offering a price would happily have taken.
I refused and told him why.
Maybe he’ll learn. 🤷‍♂️

Spending tens, or even hundreds of thousands of pounds on a digital marketing ad campaign, and then using AI generated slop for the actual ads themselves, is a very expensive way of telling people you like to cut corners.

My feelings about the BBC are largely in line with my feelings about the NHS.

I think it is vital we have a publicly owned and funded broadcaster and its enemies are my enemies, but I *detest* the way it's talked about as some gift to the peasantry we're supposed to be fawningly grateful for.
Revealing division in my timeline between (1) my insider friends who have lived privileged lives who are very keen that we defend the BBC and think it's important it survives and (2) my outsider friends who feel (at best) ambivalent about the BBC's survival.

I was under the impression that I had a buyer for this piece, but it hasn’t been paid for and they’re not responding to my messages. So, if I hear nothing before 8pm today, this will be back on the market.
Right, here is “Impressions #48”: “Abstract 1988 LM”. It celebrates Jaguar’s 1988 Le Mans victory - its first win at La Sarthe since 1957. To think that that gap is smaller than from its last victory to now! 🤯

This piece is A5 size and can be purchased for £75+p&p, via DM on here.

The idea was good, but the architecture and construction methods/quality didn’t work for the location.

So it turns out... the US air travel system was incredibly, deeply dependent on federal funding to just run day-to-day all this time, to the benefit of private airline shareholders, when everyone thinks that state-run trains are leeching off the government. Weird!

The best way to never see anything interesting from anyone you care about ever again is to follow them on Instagram, particularly the awful iPad app.
Facebook, like Twitter, should have 'Following' and 'For You' columns. I don't open Facebook so I can see photographs of steep staircases. I want my friends back.
