It is a global far right power grab
Important to understand the Epstein stuff and the fascism and the corruption are, in a lot of ways, really all the same story from different angles: powerful men who can and do abuse vulnerable people around them because they can, and because systems of elite accountability catastrophically failed

This is horrific.

It also disproportionately impacts on women who go back to retrain later in life- mostly after time at home engaging in care duties.

Now, older women are forced into poverty by this cruel neoliberal system we're in.

Accountability check: Today i managed some light cardio and strength training, that’s 4 days out of 7. Possibly the most active I’ve been all year. The algorithms feel I am overtraining. I feel I am just getting started…. 😏

Finally managed to download all my data from Fascistbook and instaspam, after navigating dodgy links, conflicting messaging and glitchy screens. Thanks for nothing, fuckers.

My ragdoll’s version of fear is to be cuddly and guard the (interdimensional) gates. I think he is more concerned about the supermoon in Taurus, and fair enough.

Currently planning a short trip north for photographic purposes. I’m excited about the ruins. And the mangrove swamps. Joy exponential if I get the timing right.

Nice my dog is so deaf now she can’t hear the fireworks. She used to be terrified. Thinking about all the other cats, dogs and everyone else. Arseholes.

I’ve found the perfect front basket for my bike, for easy camera storage. Last night went out for a test shot ride with Betty & the Ricoh ZF. Perfect portable 35mm for knocking around the streets! Rad riding around for no reason other than to take (film) snapshots. Will see how the shots turn out!

My third day back at gym in the past 7 days. I’ve managed to overcome a massive somatic mental/physical block. I’m focused on feeling stronger and happier “in my body” again after a lot of life stress. Today’s cardio was a great cortisol release 🙃. Posting about it helps to keep myself honest.

Meta have disabled my accounts without appeal. I can't access anything. These accounts are the only window I have to the world and many connections I have to people are only through these apps. I can’t access my information or photos to download them. I’ve been on the services since 2008. Gutted.

Sometimes my brain is so jammed fulll of thought, and songs, and reckons, and feelings, and desires, and imaginings I forget I haven't actually listened to anything — no music, no radio, no people, nothing, all day.

Re the NZ Curriculum... "It’s recolonisation disguised as reform." Was seriously thinking about renewing my teaching certificate... Absolutely not happening now. #NZPol

The UN-bound report says the current government is "actively and profoundly aggravating NZ's constitutionally racist foundation in a way we have not seen for at least half a century".

The new curriculum is cooked. It treats teaching like it's just standing at the front of the class making kids learn an endless series of facts for 6 hrs a day. The science lists of bullet points all end w a dead western scientist they (presumably) need to learn abt & cram for an assessment. Cooked.

Human existence has only been about wage labor for ~0.1% of our history. Having a job isn’t the same as having a purpose, and there’s nothing bad about losing jobs. The only way that could ever be a problem is if a bunch of assholes had tied all of our basic needs to our usefulness to rich people.

Haunted Scotland, freaky as mate.
Just got to the end of the Banshee Pub episode where the trapped spirits go through to the light. As soon as he says the door has shut, my battery radio starts playing “A Little Bit Of Light Banter” by Sparks. Its battery is flat and has not played all day. Ahhhh 😬🫨
