Braw day in Blackburn campaigning for a more affordable, brighter and better connected West Lothian.

Folks are resonating with our campaign to put your priorities first again, after a decade of neglect from West Lothian’s Labour-Tory coalition!

Thanks to everyone who joined us today 💛

Fantastic support in Whitburn today for @snp.org — including some first-timer voters I bumped into!

Folks on the doors feel excited for our campaign to make West Lothian more affordable, brighter and better connected

And I think it’s fair to say that meeting wee Hugo was the highlight!

It's pretty clear now. If Scotland wants to be back in the EU, the only route is for us to join after we've regained independence.

Which, by my reckoning, would take no more than seven years (including our own referendum).

Here's how:

Now watch as the BBC treat the Holyrood 2026 election as dress rehearsal for the next UK general election, and relentlessly promote their agenda of giving disproportionate coverage to the right-wing parties.

Again, I really do have concerns about exactly how Justin Webb is acquiring his knowledge of US politics or what prompted him to make this exact point.
Justin Webb just referred on Today to "platforms like Bluesky, where you can see the celebration of the killing" of Charlie Kirk.

What I'm seeing on here is overwhelming condemnation; despair at the violence of US politics; alarm at where this might go; & calls for equal horror at other shootings.

This is the leadership countries should expect - one which stands up for all the people who make up that nation.

A voice which speaks up for all of Scotland's people is needed, now more than ever.

As Westminster and England lurch to the Far Right,

It is clear #Scotland is on a different path.
Throwing a brick through the window of a hotel housing asylum seekers in Falkirk is absolutely despicable.

People who fled war and persecution deserve to live in safety, not fear.

Words have consequences - it’s time for politicians who spread hate to reflect on that.

When I wrote this in 2019 some accused me of exaggerating the connection between the intellectual bigotry/racism of the Spectator and Telegraph (as exemplified by Scruton and Murray) and BNP/street-level thuggery. If anything I was too cautious..

Scruton is part of an intellectual culture giving respectability to racism
Howls of outrage over philosopher Sir Roger Scruton's loss of a government job ignore the reality of his output.

Repeat after me: 40% of the men arrested for rioting against asylum seekers in Southport had previously been reported to the police for domestic violence.

Why would anyone want to associate themselves with that lot?

It would be better to just be honest and say: Because my boss told me, I am tired of swimming upstream, and I really want to be an MP. So, I've decided to go with the flow.

Instead of these unedifying mental gymnastics.
