Trump’s flogging of “Birtherism” in 2015-16 was a critical part of the insurgency to take over the GOP through the primaries. He then dropped it for the general election. Trump has always used blatant #racism.

one of my strongest beliefs is that we're in our situation right now bc some of the most prominent talking heads (e.g. joe rogan, andrew schulz) are learning about politics in their 40s and 50s, instead of their teens and early 20s, and we have to go along for the ride as they learn basic things

There are so many awful layers to this disgusting story but one admittedly minor thought I keep having is how insane it is that all this stuff is being coordinated on email. (I guess he probably did it on purpose to create a paper trail).
