Feels like time for my yearly reading of Night Watch by Terry Pratchett. It's a story about authoritarianism, rebellion, history, and ordinary people surviving life.

With a lot of sarcasm and laughter along the way.

And for the record, go inflatable legions! I think they are an important part of avoiding more bloodshed in this country.

This is outrageous.

Using ICE to act as enforcers of business? Absolutely un-fucking-acceptable.
This South Side Weekly report on the Chicago building raid is well worth reading. Most striking to me are the indications of collusion between federal authorities and the building owner and management to effect a mass eviction at the blighted property. southsideweekly.com/federal-agen...

If you still need to share a link to a tweet, but don't want to send people to Musk's cesspool - replace "x" with "xcancel" in the tweet link.

For example x.com/dril/status/...

becomes xcancel.com/dril/status/...

People will still see the tweet, but without going to Twitter.
