It's been 2 weeks since ICE agents forcefully separated Yuanxin from his father Fei, and there are still no answers on the boy's location or if the family will be reunited. Their community gathered at Yuanxin's school to denounce ICE's horrific tactics and call for the family's immediate release. 🧵⬇️

When federal forces started targeting Black neighborhoods as part of the ongoing occupation of DC, community showed up by making sure young people knew their rights and asserted them loudly.

We will keep organizing, building power, and demanding a world where our people are safe—beyond policing.

Those at the 10th Place apartments in Southeast Washington said the president’s crime strategy deepened their distrust of police and made them feel no safer.

If the Supreme Court guts Section 2 of the Voting Rights Act, minority voting power could be diluted nationwide through racial gerrymandering. We stand ready to work shoulder-to-shoulder with Pennsylvanians to strengthen voting power and strike down discrimination with bold and creative advocacy.

The outcome of a major U.S. Supreme Court case could make it harder for Pennsylvania’s Hispanic voters to fight for representation.

The blatant power grab by the majority white legislature in a Black city like Jackson, MS is spreading across the country.

State takeovers and sweeping abusive preemption laws are rolling back progress and stripping communities of the right to self-govern and ultimately, self-determination.
How Preemption Undoes Multiracial Democracy
Op-ed: As state preemption concentrates power in white conservative hands, Mississippi's Black communities are organizing to reclaim self-determination.

Georgia has turned back the clock on democracy by making it easier to remove eligible voters from the rolls and needlessly punishing unhoused voters with additional voting restrictions.

SB 189 is a textbook violation of the National Voter Registration Act. We'll see Georgia in court.
⚖️TODAY’S DOCKET⚖️

A federal court will hear a pro-voting lawsuit challenging a Georgia law. The plaintiffs warn it could give private citizens the power to target the eligibility of other voters using unvetted and unreliable documentation.

🗣️Did you know the feds are trying to make masking illegal at protests?

Criminalizing protestors is an intimidation tactic designed to silence us and instill fear, but we know resistance and protest is one key strategy to birthing a new world.

The administration's agenda of mass deportations and racial profiling is directly impacting student safety. When young people don't feel safe at school, immigrant families step back from the school system which is an essential pillar of community support. Schools must remain sanctuaries of learning.
Charlotte-Mecklebburg Schools, according to reports, saw 15% of its students absent today amid Border Patrol operations in Charlotte. If that percentage of 15% happens Tuesday in Wake County due to the Border Patrol coming to Raleigh, 24.000 students could be absent from school. #nced #ncpol #wcpss
