I never could have predicted that a game show host's inability to tell scandinavian countries apart might one day lead to my death.

Studying interaction is terrifying, because you see how everyday life is totally dependent on random strangers. And wild situations like this *could* happen so easily. But then you realise interactions do tend to *work*, and a global web of millions of randos take some care of one-another every day.
I just woke up from a nap and somehow while I was asleep, everyone on the bus has figured out we are not going to the right place

I went to a conference at Indiana University about 10 years ago and I remember seeing their football stadium and laughing about how gigantic it was, because who is going to watch endlessly terrible *Indiana* play football?

Well, now it's home to the National Champions. Absolutely wild.

Dithering on abolishing ICE right now is like finding out the Trojan Horse is full of invading soldiers and being like "we need to train this horse"
Mike Johnson: "ICE is doing what ICE is designed to do"
Mike Johnson comes out against additional guardrails on ICE as Democrats call for it.

“I think there's a lot of Democrats playing games right now with national security and with law enforcement. And I think it's dangerous. Ice is doing what ice is designed to do by its very name.”

I'm trying to name something and googling some ideas to make sure they won't taken. The "AI summary" is explaining my own puns to me, and it's like they've accidentally made a "woman in a meeting having a man confidently reiterate her idea as his own" VR experience.

Survey response: 5 - Strongly Agree "One of the nicest, kindest people"

In-situ recording: *repeatedly shoots someone in the face head for trying to leave*
The ICE shooter’s father said of his son “You would never find a nicer, kinder person”. If you can’t find a nicer kinder person than one who shoots someone else in the face 3 times at point blank range we are truly fucked

It's very early on New Years Day, it's snowing in a beautiful manner, and the Duffer Brothers just landed their plane. This is surely the best 2026 has in it, but I'm enjoying it.

I've live across the road from a daycare, and if I ever went up to their door and demanded to be let inside because of something I saw on twitter they should be legally allowed to fire a rocket at me

Festivus was much more fun before the US government became entirely about airing grievances, feats of strength, and the availability of dolls. But Happy Festivus anyway.

When YouTube moved to evaluating for watch time rather than views we should have known they'd go after The Oscars, the running-long-iest show in history.
