Colette’s semi-autobiographical novel Chéri, about difficult liaisons, published in 1920, was illustrated twenty years later by one of our favourite artists, Léon Courbouleix. You can see all the illustrations at honesterotica.com/portfolios/5... – it might inspire you to read the book!

In 1946, cartoonist & illustrator Noel Sickles was sent by Life magazine to sketch the Nuremberg trials. Here is his sketch of the execution of Joachim Von Ribbentrop, who claimed at trial that his boss had made all of the important decisions, & that he was only following orders.
